It doesn't matter whether there are just two of us on the zoom, or ten. The same thing happens. I've tried different times of the day, still the same. Same issue for me and I'm a teacher! It broke up my classroom twice today. This happens on two different laptops both with the Zoom requirements fully met and running Windows 8.
This happens in meetings of multiple sizes and I'm hearing from my students that a few of them have the same issue. It happens when I log in directly from their website, use our in-school login or use the Zoom app. It began after the June 1 updates. I never had that error message prior to that, even though we've been using Zoom since mid-March.
Just one thing I've been trying which seems to have worked so far is to run the laptop just off battery power when using zoom. Interestingly, the issue only happens with the power supply connected. Just thought I'd share in case it helps you out temporarily until we can work out a permanent fix. I am having this very same issue and it only began after investing into a brand new Lenovo laptap with intel core i5 8th Gen. My old laptop was a Core i3 and no problems with Zoom.
I am an online teacher and this is really making things difficult. I use Zoom and powerpoints and videos. NEVER a problem until using the new laptop. So weird! I love my laptop because it so much faster and smoother with all other apps and platforms except Zoom :.
I am happy that I'm not alone. Let's see how that goes. Unfortunately I haven't found a permanent fix to this yet. There MUST be something underlying causing this issue, but no-one seems to be able to help. I even raised this as an issue with the zoom team, but they are prioritising support for their paid-service customers, so closed my issue immediately. The only thing that has worked for me is using zoom with the power supply cable disconnected. Not ideal, but it seems to work for short term zoom calls.
Really hoping someone can come up with a permanent fix for this too, as it is just so frustrating! I totally sympathise with you. PS - we also bought two other similar slightly lower spec HP Pavilion laptops at the same time as my one for our twin daughters and they work fine, which leads me to think this is something specific to the model we have Hello, all -- I have had this same issue and found another article addressing this and here is the link.
I followed the instructions and it seemed to improve but today while teaching through Zoom I still had to unplug the power cable and run off battery.
